The Membership Process

At Tideway Scullers School, we aim to keep the membership process as simple as possible:

  1. Check below to see the membership types we offer.

  2. Complete an application for the membership type that suits you best.

  3. A member of our team will review your application and get in touch with you.

  4. When your application is accepted, you will be sent a membership form to complete.

Membership Types

Tideway Scullers School has a range of membership options to suit different needs. Please read through these options to ensure you are making an application for the appropriate membership type.

Senior Squad Membership

Our Senior Squad is a competitive racing squad for those aged 18+.

Members of this squad in full-time education pay a subsidised fee for membership.

Junior Squad Membership

Our Junior Squad has opportunities for school-aged individuals from complete beginners to international rowers.

Masters Squad Membership

Our Masters Squad welcomes members who want to row at a competitive or recreational level.

Holiday Membership

This membership is targeted at those who need a place to row in their university or college holidays.

This membership has a subsidised fee to reflect less time spent at the club.

This membership is not open to junior rowers (as defined by British Rowing).

Fees

Racking

Joining Fee:

£115 for all new members.

Full Membership:

£660 per annum / £55 per month.

Junior Beginners:

£60 per month.

Junior Developers:

£45 per month.

Junior Racers:

£65 per month.

Junior Men/Women:

£70 per month.

Student:

£378 per annum / £31.50 per month.

Open to Senior rowers in full-time education. Student ID should be emailed to membership@tidewayscullers.com.

Student Holiday:

£144 per annum.

Open to those who only row at the club during their university or college holidays. Not open to Juniors (as defined by British Rowing).

Cox:

£84 per annum / £7 per month.

We also offer subsidised places. Please contact treasurer@tidewayscullers.com for more details.

As the mission of TSS is to encourage sculling, Full or Student members of the club are able to rack boats at the club (subject to availability). Prices are as following:

Single: £12 per month

Double/Pair: £24 per month
